Tennis Everyone

The Tennis Complex has six perfectly groomed lighted clay courts. The Forest’s Tennis staff provides a variety of activities including the very popular league play for all levels of players. Tennis players come from all over the area due to the leadership of Tennis Professional Fred Kangwa. Kangwa, a former member of the Davis Cup Team for Zambia, Africa, coaches ranked players from all over the world. His extra-friendly demeanor makes the most experienced and the beginner player feel most welcome at the tennis facility.

Our Junior Tennis Program is open to ages 5 to 18.  The well-known youth program attracts children of all ages who improve their games by participating year-round at The Forest. Fred and his staff orchestrate  summer camps, after-school programs and Saturday morning clinics.

The Forest Country Club has an active Women’s Tennis Program, including Leagues and Clinics for all skill levels including 3.0, 3.5-, 3.5, 4.0-, 4.0, 5.0+, Gold and Silver, Inter-club, USTA Women’s and Mixed Doubles.  Our Men's Tennis Program features USTA Men’s and Mixed Doubles Leagues in addition to our Blue and White teams that play at specific times weekly as part of a local Lee County League for 50 and over age group.

Tennis Members also enjoy weekly clinics, Round Robin events, mixed tournaments and even Cardio Tennis Classes.

The Forest Country Club has a full-service tennis pro shop.  We will equip you with the best personal racquet and stringing to enhance your tennis game.  We stock Prince, Wilson and Head racquets and can special order any other brand.  Men’s, women’s and children’s clothes are available.  We stock the latest tennis apparel from Tail, Lily’s of Beverly Hills, Prince, Darlyn Design, Natty, Jamie Sadock and Bolle.  You will also find the latest and best clay-court tennis shoes by Prince, K-Swiss and Wilson in the pro shop.

Courts are open from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, Monday through Sunday.  Proper tennis attire and tennis shoes are required at all times.  Please inform your guests of the policies.  Running shoes and cross-trainers are prohibited on courts.
