The Great Outdoors
For many of our members, they come from both near and far. Many people have had to put their life and plans on hold because of these changing times, but as we continue to progress, we can now look forward to enjoying the times we envision or were able to enjoy in previous years. As we continue to practice standard safety protocols, we have our season jam-packed with thrilling activities!
One of the great advantages of country club living is the opportunity to enjoy your favorite pastimes outdoors. Our two distinctly different award-winning courses stand on 620 acres of breathtaking preserve, where we enjoy golf in nature's most pristine setting. There are no busy highways and noisy tourist attractions that can be cumbersome to you and your game. We have 36 holes of prestigious golf, including two diversely different courses. While some golf advocates enjoy traveling from course to course, others like course diversity in the comfort of their "backyard" to switch up their games. Our courses and course staff always thrive for this "Above Par" mentality, and with two courses, we can achieve such.
In addition to ‘the green,’ we have Six Har-Tru Hydro clay courts with three lighted courts for nighttime play. What better way to learn about our tennis programs because tennis league season is in full force! Next week, the Forest Tennis Center will be hosting home matches Monday at 2 PM (Men's Bonita 70+) and 6:30 (Ladies USTA 3.0) and Wednesday at 11 AM (Ladies Lee County Cobalt). Sunday, we have our Mixed Doubles, and our Men's Singles Fast 4 Event is coming up quickly! FAST4 Tennis is a simple, exciting way of speeding up a conventional tennis match. The fundamentals of tennis remain the same, but four rules ensure that matches are fast, competitive, exciting, and can be completed in a reasonable time.
Our team thinks of it all! While tennis is high intensity and focus-oriented, pickleball is often on the rowdier side of outdoor activities, which is why the courts are secluded from the tennis courts and courses. Our pickleball courts are surrounded by landscaping to absorb some of the sounds. It is a great way to feel like you are still surrounded by nature without disrupting other members' enjoying their activities. Don't forget to add this next event to your calendar! The Pickleball "Better Together" is around the corner! This annual fun event will be held on Saturday, November 6th.
The Home Away From Home
For many individuals, a country club becomes a way of life, a home away from home. The ability to create a homely atmosphere amongst hundreds of members is a skill that we take a lot of pride in. Here you are not another number. We do not know you by your number; we know you and your family by your name. When creating a home away from home, you should not be treated like another face; you become family here at The Forest. We have been told stories of our members joining one day and becoming members of a social group the next. There is no worry about fitting in or making new friends; our members gravitate towards one another and are ALWAYS ready to meet new faces just as much as we are. From our activities to social clubs, we have a busy schedule lined up!
On our Member Portal, our members have 24-hour access to our event updates, course maintenance, clubhouse updates, and the ability to reserve your spots for wine tastings, tournaments, and so much more! While this option is available to our members, our club staff is ready to answer any questions you may have! We take pride in having a welcoming atmosphere that not only welcomes returning faces but invites new members. When you're at The Forest, you become family!
