Celebrating Success: The 31st Annual Golf Classic at The Forest Country Club
The 31st Annual Golf Classic at The Forest Country Club raised funds for Golisano Children's Hospital, thanks to partners, staff, and participants.
The Forest Country Club recently hosted its 31st Annual Golf Classic, an event that has become a highlight of our calendar year after year. This year's classic was not just a day of exceptional golf but also a testament to the spirit of community and charity that defines our club and its members. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a part in making this event not only possible but also profoundly impactful.

A Partnership of Passion and Purpose

We were honored to have the Boston Red Sox join us as a key partner for this event, bringing together sports, community, and charity. The collaboration between the Boston Red Sox, the dedicated staff and members of The Forest Country Club, and all of our esteemed players and sponsors, was truly remarkable. This synergy created an atmosphere of camaraderie and excitement that lasted throughout the day.

The Power of Teamwork

Special acknowledgment must go to the organizational wizards behind the scenes – Katy Martinez, Jason Powella, and their incredible team at Lee Health Foundation. Their tireless efforts ensured the event ran smoothly and successfully. The leadership of our chair, Kristy Gudobba, was instrumental in steering this event towards its goals with grace and determination. Her time and dedication were the linchpins of our success.

A Cause Close to Our Hearts

The driving force behind this year’s golf classic was a noble one – raising funds for the newest children's surgery center at Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. The enthusiasm and generosity displayed by everyone involved were overwhelming and truly embodied the spirit of giving back to our community.

The Day in Pictures

The Bear course was a hive of activity, with 27 teams participating in the competition. The spirit of friendly competition among the golfers was palpable, and the course itself, with its challenging layout and stunning vistas, provided the perfect backdrop for a day of golf. We're excited to share some snapshots of the event, capturing the moments of concentration, the joy of play, and the camaraderie shared by all. These photos not only tell the story of a day filled with golf but also the collective effort of a community coming together for a great cause.

Looking Ahead: Dinner on the Diamond

If you missed out on the first two events, there’s still an opportunity to be part of this incredible journey. Mark your calendars for March 19th, for the Dinner on the Diamond at Fenway South. It promises to be a memorable evening of fine dining, entertainment, and fellowship, all in the unique setting of Fenway South. It's your chance to be part of our ongoing efforts to support the Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To every player, sponsor, staff member, and volunteer, your participation and support have made a significant difference. Together, we are contributing to a cause that touches many lives, providing hope and healing to the children and families served by the Golisano Children's Hospital.

As we reflect on the success of our 31st Annual Golf Classic, we're reminded of the strength of our community and the impact we can make when we come together. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at the Dinner on the Diamond. Tickets may be purchased here: https://leehealthfoundation.org/event/redsox/.
